Nicola Lang  Enrolled Nurse

Nicola joined East Clinic in November 2020 and works on a casual basis.  Nicola states she had a “midlife crisis” when at the age of 49 she decided she wanted to become a nurse.  One of the most challenging and rewarding things she has ever done.  Her teachers at Bundamba TAFE nominated her for VET Student of the Year in 2015 and after winning the Regional and State titles, she went on to represent Queensland at the finals in Tasmania.  She states she was humbled and so very honoured to have been able to represent this great State of Queensland.  Nicola is now part of the Australian VET Alumni Group and is more than happy to talk to people wanting advice about their career paths.

Prior to becoming a nurse she worked as a receptionist at St Andrew’s Private Hospital Ipswich and prior to that worked in the office at the Civic Hall.  Nicola is also currently employed at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.  She is looking forward to meeting all the lovely patients who attend East Clinic and helping them in any way she can.

Nicola loves spending time with family and friends and enjoys spending holidays at the beach with her husband in their caravan.  She is also a member of the Ipswich Orpheus Chorale and enjoys singing with them.
